If you have tried the workshops, read the books and the blog and wish there was someone you could talk to about your child and how you manage them I do take on a few clients if I think I can help. I'm not a Psychologist or a doctor but I do know a lot about managing behaviour.
The first step is to drop me an email outlining the issues (in brief). If I think I can help the next step is a chat on the phone to find out a little more. If we both think there is something to be gained from meeting we can arrange a personal consultation either at my home or, if you live in the local area (South West London), in your home . If you don't live locally we can arrange to talk via Skype.
Consultations currently cost £60 per session (aprox 1 hour 20 minutes) at my home, or £70 at your home and can be arranged at a time to suit from 12 midday to 10pm.
Skype/Facetime sessions cost £45 per session but are only available for those outside the area.
My working days are Sunday to Thursday, so please note I don't work or answer emails or calls on Fridays or Saturdays .
Sometimes I undertake work directly with a child or young person if the circumstances are right. Usually these will be at the child or young person's home and costs are the same as those for private consultation listed above.
I can only work with a child or young person if they are happy to work with me and I always offer the child confidentiality. Naturally I let them know that I cannot keep to that if I feel they are at risk of harm in any way, but it is important for the child to know they can be free to say what they want without having to account for it later with a parent.
I always give some feedback to the parent/s about what we were talking about or working on, my general impressions and any concerns I may have as well as any tips for parents in how to support the child further.
I always ask the child or young person if there is anything they wish me to convey to their parent/s - and this is carried out if they have directed me to speak on their behalf.
