This 6 session after-school course for children from years 4, 5 or 6 is aimed at those who frequently experience anxiety.
We will be talking about what anxiety is, where it comes from, how it affects us and what the feelings want us to do. We'll explore some simple fun techniques for managing aspects of anxiety and look at what works and what doesn't for different people and different situations, and we'll be getting in touch with our very own inner superheroes!
In between we'll play some games, make some useful anxiety busting thingumyjigs to take home as well as a weekly mindfulness exercise.
Parents can opt in to a free email 'report back' that tells them what we have done and what they can do to support the exercises at home - but this will not be an individual report, for that you'll have to let your child tell you.
